![]() Instead, it puts it as the last image in your folder (basically, it puts it at the most inconvenient place possible within Lightroom). That’s because it doesn’t put the image you just took over to Photoshop back right beside the original (like it does when you use Collections). Your trip to Photoshop and back isn’t as pleasant. It uses Lightroom Web to do this sharing, and if you’re not using Collections, you can’t share collections (and you can’t share folders). You can share Collections with anybody (and it’s so easy to share a collection). If you see this in person, it’s pretty mind-blowing (and clients absolutely love it). Another awesome Collections feature, and I use it when I’m shooting with a client at the shoot, and I want them to see the images appear on my iPad live as I’m shooting (so they can mark their favorites and leave me comments live during the shoot, and those favs and comments appear right within Lightroom Classic in real time. Remember that despite the same name, portable GPUs are less powerful than their desktop brethren. The same is true of the AMD 7600S and 7700S. For example, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4080 is superior to the RTX 4070, while the RTX 4090 is better than both. Generally, the higher the model number in a product line, the better performance you can expect. Nvidia is the big name to look for in GPU manufacturing, while AMD also produces some potent graphics chips. When buying a gaming laptop, you want to look for a device that features a dedicated GPU rather than one that is built on the same die as the processor. As the name suggests, GPUs handle the manipulation of graphics and image processing. GPU: The graphics processing unit (GPU) is a gaming laptop’s single most important component. Below, you will find a checklist of the key features to look out for along with an explanation as to why they’re so important. There are a number of things to consider when buying one of the best gaming laptops. How to choose the best gaming laptop for you You could, of course, build your own desktop gaming setup, but if you want to play your games on the go, then buying one of the best gaming laptops is the way forward. That combination of factors means there’s no better time to buy one of the best gaming laptops and join the huge community of PC gamers. In addition to that supreme performance, we’re now seeing more console exclusives being ported to PC, while Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass for PC gives players the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of premium titles for a monthly fee. These new GPUs represent a significant step up in performance, meaning gaming laptops housing them offer an authentic next-generation experience, complete with stunning graphics and super-smooth frame rates. And now, thanks to the latest upscaling technology from Nvidia (DLSS3) and AMD (FSR3), they can deliver triple-digit frame rates when running AAA games, even at high detail levels. Now that the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 40-series and AMD Radeon RX7000 graphics cards have made their way into portable PCs, the best gaming laptops are more powerful than ever. ![]() ![]() ![]() Questions asking for equipment purchasing advice or troubleshooting should be posted as comments in the most recent Official Question thread, stickied at the top of the subreddit. The suggested Canon lens had a $800 price tag I believe, but it’s next on the list. I purchased the new Canon nifty fifty f/1.8 and for now, I’ll quit with lens purchases and hope I’m covered for Iceland and other summer vacations. So I thank you all for the clarifications.Īfter freaking out I had a broke lens because of the constant grinding IS noise, I took some nice photos with that lens. Today I found a million vids on why that’s wrong haha. He, among a few others, planted the x1.6 aperture notion. I watched many Tony Northrop reviews and tutorials. When you mount the lens on your 80D does it not report f4 ? Case closed. Nonsense, don't waste your time reading that person again. I like and encourage the idea of the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens however your kit lens will work. It is still a bit short for hard core birding, however. The 70-200mm should be a nice lens for the Zoo. It is FF on your camera, meaning what you see in your viewfinder is exactly the photo you will get. Just go use and learn and enjoy your new lens. But don't feel that you've wasted your money you have a fine camera and a fine exploring Youtube. Others in the forum will tell you about other choices, so pay attention to them too. Canon refurbs have a good reputation and come with a good warranty. It's popular and has been around for a while, so you might be able to find a refurbished copy at the Canon on-line store. The EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS would be an excellent choice. So turn your attention to finding an affordable "walkaround" lens for your trip. It's great for pictures of distant mountains and glaciers, not so much for walking around the countryside photographing houses and barns. That said, a 70- 200mm lens is a fairly powerful telephoto on an 80D, and you probably wouldn't want it to be your only lens on your trip to Iceland. If you don't own a FF camera, that information is probably of no interest to you. To put it in simplest terms, it says that your lens is more of a telephoto on your 80D than it is on a FF camera. All the 1.6 factor tells you is that to get the same angle of view on a full-frame camera, you'd need a lens 1.6 times as long. The 1.6 "crop factor" has nothing to do with aperture your lens is still an f/4.Īt any zoom setting, your lens, used on your 80D, will give you a certain "angle of view". But I don’t understand what lenses to buy with crop sensors. Doesn’t that really limit the type of photos you can take? The camera is super nice, but was this like buying a mI’d range car and putting super expensive hubcaps and speakers, etc on it? I was under the impression that a camera is only as good as the lens you’re shooting through because the camera doesn’t matter, the lens matters. Low light photographs will be impossible or what? And 112-320mm zoom sounds like super zoom now. The f/2.8 was too expensive for me, not to mention I’m not a pro, but wanted a good zoom lens that will last and hold up to years of abuse.įast forward 2 days and hours of YouTube videos later, and am wondering if what I’ve done is a complete waste of money, seeming as though this f/4 will never be an f/4 if I have to multiple focal length AND aperture by 1.6, which gives me f/6.4. Did research on it and saw how amazing it was. Going to Iceland and knew the kit lens (18-55mm) was subpar (right? Or no?) and wanted something phenomenal. ![]() ![]() ![]() List all the local and remote branches: $ git branch -a UsageĬreate a new branch locally: $ git branch Git branch lets us add a new branch to an existing branch, view all existing branches, and delete a branch. Decreased foam underfoot (whilst still being MUCH more than other training shoes) has increased stability and support for multidirectional moves. The second version saw very few changes in design, but this third version has had quite the overhaul. If you have read my previous review on the first Nike Superrep, you’ll notice I loved the shoe for general gym classes, their look, and technology, but they fell short when running or weightlifting and they were narrow and rubbed to begin with. The Superrep range is one of the most interesting and feature packed shoes on the market for your gym training sessions, and also very different to most shoes out there currently. Overall, I never noticed any heel slip with the slightly heavier constructed heel. The mid-foot in enclosed with a lighter mesh and the heel is slightly reinforced like the lateral and medial sides of the shoe. Towards the toe, there’s a mesh layer that has air holes for ventilation and on the lateral portion of the shoe there are two additional layers for support. The outer construction is composed of mesh and synthetic materials that are breathable and layered throughout areas that need the most support. There’s a rubber outsole that covers the heel and balls of the feet. The midsole is composed of a high-density that is relatively thick and has medial and lateral that extend outwards to promote stability during lateral movements. The construction of these shoe are somewhat “no frills” in nature and are pretty simplistic. However, these are not the best options for doing HIIT workouts that involve a ton of sprint or running work in them. If you care about how these shoes perform in HIIT and class settings, then these shoes are solid. Granted, I wouldn’t want to wear them everyday if you want to keep around for a long time, but they do work on a daily basis. I wore them on dog walks and they were solid and around the house. On a day-to-day basis, these shoes were an okay option if you want to wear them out and about. This is why I tested them for shorter runs and compared them to both dedicated running shoes and cross trainers. They certainly weren’t terrible or uncomfortable, but you have to keep in mind that they’re not designed for longer runs. ![]() I’d give them a solid 7/10 when it comes to running in the 3-5 mile range. When performing lighter runs these shoes were okay. Additionally, out midsole provided a nice reactive feeling when hopping on two legs and one.
